6 rules to consider for guiding your career

September 2, 2014

railroad tracks - Keely 2013What 6 rules should be guiding your career?” is an interesting article by Eric Barker. While these may or may not be the best guides for your career, they do provoke some healthy thinking in my opinion. Here are the concepts he takes from Daniel Pink:

Six simply-stated concepts:

1. There is no plan.

2. Think strengths, not weaknesses.

3. It’s not about you.

4. Persistence trumps talent.

5. Make excellent mistakes.

6. Leave an imprint.

Click here to read the entire article where he expands on each concept. Point number 1 is really interesting where he explains the difference between instrumental and fundamental reasons.

Have a blessed week!
