Strategic Execution

Most of us are paid to get stuff done. Not just talk about it.

I once worked for a CEO that did not allow his team to use the term “strategic planning”. It wasn’t that he did not value strategic planning, in fact, it was quite the opposite. However, his point was that a plan is useless unless it is executed and strategic planning was only a component of Strategic Execution.

So, remember – strategic planning is only one step of executing. Too many of us feel like we are somehow finished when we have completed the plan instead of understanding that we have just gotten started,

Execute – get something done.
