Patrick Lencioni is my favorite business author. In his book “The Advantage: Why Organizational Health Trumps Everything Else in Business” Mr. Lencioni makes this statement:
After two decades of working with CEOs and their teams of senior executives, I’ve become absolutely convinced that the seminal difference between successful companies and mediocre or unsuccessful ones has little, if anything, to do with what they know or how smart they are; it has everything to do with how healthy they are.
Lencioni, Patrick M. (2012-08-21). The Advantage, Enhanced Edition: Why Organizational Health Trumps Everything Else In Business (pp. 8-9). Jossey-Bass. Kindle Edition.
I have come to find this statement true in my experience. Because of the way I am wired and my background, I have naturally gravitated to helping others in the area of organizational health. Healthy organizations are different and they make a difference in individual lives and in the communities in which they operate. So, in my work to help organizations, I focus on the following:
- Overall organizational health assessments
- Effective corporate governance
- Developing effective leadership teams
- Leader development systems
- Organizational focus & alignment
- Developing and prioritizing strategic initiatives

“BG has been working with Security Alarm for several years in an advisory / coaching capacity. He been a great asset as he has helped us in the areas of organizational health, board structure, management team structure and other areas of need. We would not be where we are today without his assistance. Worth every dime! Wish we had done it sooner!” – Josh Dice, General Manager
“BG is gifted and effective as a professional consultant. I have worked with him and seen him work with several non-profit and for-profit C-level leadership teams to help them with strategic planning, leadership development, strategic initiatives, and creative problem solving. I highly recommend BG’s ability to evaluate and provide the desired results for an organization. He is especially strong in board governance, leadership development, strategic planning, and operational issues.” – Randy Carman, Director of Operations
